Parmaco launches Parmaco Protect for defence, security and critical infrastructure
Parmaco is launching Parmaco Protect, a dedicated offering that brings together established modular building systems and advanced protective solutions for defence, security and critical infrastructure. Building on more than 60 years of modular engineering expertise, Parmaco is expanding its offering with specialised protective technologies and new solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of both civilian and military operations.
Parmaco, the leading provider of dynamic architecture in the Nordics, is launching Parmaco Protect, a dedicated offering for defence, security and critical infrastructure. Building on its established expertise in modular construction, Parmaco is expanding its offering to include advanced protective solutions for applications where security, resilience and operational flexibility are essential.
Parmaco Protect brings together complete modular building systems and specialised protective solutions, enabling customers to establish operational facilities, protect critical equipment and create secure environments for sensitive information. Depending on the product and configuration, solutions can provide ballistic, blast and forced-entry protection, as well as electromagnetic shielding.
In defence and critical infrastructure, protection is essential, but so is the ability to respond quickly to changing operational needs. Modular infrastructure and advanced protective solutions
Parmaco Protect’s offering is structured around two complementary areas: Modular building systems and Protective solutions.
Modular building systems includes steel-based modular buildings featuring Parmaco’s patented FIXCEL® steel cell technology, with configurable protective capabilities, alongside wood-based modular buildings and mobile base infrastructure for accommodation, offices and other operational needs.
Protective solutions comprises SafeMaster, Fortacel and Safecel, offering specialised protection for people, equipment and sensitive information.
One example is Safecel, developed in partnership with Millog, a Finnish company specializing in defence and security technology and lifecycle support services. Safecel is a modular secure room designed to protect sensitive information against electromagnetic emissions. The solution can be integrated into new Parmaco buildings or installed within existing facilities.
Already delivering for civilian and defence applications
Parmaco Protect is already contributing to Parmaco’s existing business, with protective capabilities opening up new applications for its modular building concept.
One recent example is a 2,255-square-metre protective visitor centre delivered to Forcit in Hanko, Finland, combining Parmaco’s dynamic building approach with advanced protective capabilities for a civilian application.
The new business area has already secured rental contracts worth over EUR 50 million, alongside a growing portfolio of sales contracts.
