Parmaco joins Green Building Council Finland
We at Parmaco are proud to announce that as of April 30, 2025, we have been accepted as a Green Building Council Finland (FIGBC) member. FIGBC is a non-profit organization that champions sustainable development within the built environment. As part of the global World Green Building Council network, it unites players across the real estate and construction sectors—businesses, municipalities, and experts alike—around a common goal: driving the industry toward carbon neutrality, circularity, and construction practices that respect planetary boundaries.
Becoming a member is a natural next step for us in deepening our impact on the future of sustainable construction. It’s also a valuable opportunity to bring the dynamic building model into the wider conversation on circular economy and sustainable innovation in the sector.
At Parmaco, we design, manufacture, and lease high-quality, modular buildings, primarily for the public sector. Our buildings adapt to changing needs throughout their lifecycle—serving, for instance, as daycare centers, schools, or care facilities. Dynamic construction allows buildings to be expanded, reduced, or relocated entirely, without compromising on quality, safety, or comfort.
“The world is changing faster than ever. Decision-makers in the public sector are faced with long-term commitments in an uncertain future. Dynamic construction provides a responsible, sustainable way to respond to change,” says our Head of Sustainability, Nathalie Clément.
Circular economy is not a value-add — it’s our foundation
Circularity is not an afterthought at Parmaco—it’s embedded in everything we do. We don’t build disposable structures; our buildings live, evolve, and move. This commitment to circularity has also earned us international recognition: in 2024, Parmaco was named one of Europe’s top 30 circular economy companies by the World Circular Economy Forum.
The dynamic architecture we are pioneering offers a real alternative to conventional construction. We believe that sustainable and beautiful architecture doesn’t have to be static, and permanence doesn’t have to mean rigidity.
FIGBC — a community where we want to make a difference
Our membership in FIGBC gives us a platform to engage in shaping the future of sustainable construction, in collaboration with other changemakers across the industry. We value the network’s ability to anticipate shifts—whether in regulation, user needs, or broader industry trends.
“This sector is slow to evolve, and that brings its own set of challenges. For us, it’s vital to help build understanding around the fact that dynamic construction meets all the same regulatory and quality standards as traditional buildings—while being more flexible and resource-efficient,” Clément emphasizes.
We’re excited for the conversations, collaborations, and fresh perspectives that the FIGBC community will bring. Just as importantly, we’re eager to share our own expertise, so that together, we can build a more adaptable, responsible, and human-centered future.
