In 2023 the nature-themed Pikkutuuli Daycare Center was completed in 6 months in the fast-growing area of Haukiputaa in the city of Oulu in northern Finland.
Nature connection has been included into the design of the daycare center’s spaces in a special way, and Pikkutuuli daycare has its own greenhouse.
Pikkutuuli Daycare Center was completed in 2023 in the growing Länsituuli area of Haukiputaa, part of the city of Oulu. Housing construction in Haukiputaa will focus on this area in the near future, and Pikkutuuli Daycare Center has been commissioned as a new daycare center for the long-term use of early childhood education in the area.
Pikkutuuli is a nature-themed daycare center in accordance with the City of Oulu’s early childhood education plan and is designed specifically for children aged 0-5. The connection to nature has been taken into account in a special way in the daycare center’s spatial and yard design, and the daycare center has its own greenhouse, for example.
